You can watch on YouTube HERE.

Make sure you check out the comments - there’s some pretty great stuff in there. ;-)

VICE followed Mothers for Nuclear to Sacramento to see how they advocate for continued operation of Diablo Canyon.

Here are some of our favorite quotes from the video:

Mothers FOR nuclear? “It takes a minute, but that’s our message. We’re FOR nuclear. We’re moms. We care about our kids. We care about this planet. That’s why we’re doing this.” —Kristin Zaitz, Mothers for Nuclear

“It won’t die. But it has to. It’s so impractical and dangerous to keep it open past it’s date. It’s like our worst nightmare is sort of slowly coming to life.” —Linda Seeley, Mothers for Peace

“I care about carbon-free electricity, and having more of it, not less of it.” —Kristin Zaitz

“So that rumbling you hear in the distance, that's not godzilla, that's not thunder, that's actually some of the massive equipment that we use to dismantle the plant.” —Al Bates, San Onofre decommissioning

“Oh, eat drink and be merry, and let’s make more nuclear waste for people in 500 generations from now to live with. And that’s the gift we’re giving them.” —Linda Seeley

“We don’t have enough energy storage that’s week-long, even several days long, let alone seasonal storage.” —Steven Chu

”When I grew up, we had blackouts all the time.” —Linda Seeley

“If there had been a significant leak, which there was not, there are safety systems backed up by other safety systems to ensure that that no leaks to the public would ever occur. This is entirely unlike fukushima. It was more of an economic decision.” —Al Bates

“On my GPS, there is a one-mile perimeter of unclassified restricted area, so we have to stay on the other side of that line. It’s nice that it’s on the GPS so we can see what we have to stay away from.” —Michael Brink, SLO Tours

“My real hope is they would get a relicense for 20 years.” —Steven Chu

“I’ve seen their security, it’s like Navy Seal dudes, serious business.” —Michael Brink
