The New Fire Film Screening, Ojai 2017

We were honored to help show the film The New Fire at the Ojai Film Festival.

We were pretty excited to leave some of our Mothers for Nuclear fliers at the filmmakers’ table, and thanks to David Schumacher for inviting us to present this film when he couldn’t be with us in person.

Some of our favorite nuclear heroes, Carolyn and Jake, have prominent roles in this film.

We were joined by our colleague, fellow nuclear advocate, and friend, Daniel See. MfN is definitely a team of mothers, brothers, and others. Dan has been with us since the very beginning.

There were so many great questions from the audience, both about the film, and about nuclear energy generally. As we were packing up afterwards, we met a really nice lady who told us “I didn’t used to support nuclear, but after watching this, I’m a Grandmother for Nuclear!” ;-)
